Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Bridgewater Retirement Centre Inc. as an Executive Chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for residents, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
