Food Service Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at Bridgewater Retirement Centre Inc. as a Cook.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our residents, ensuring high-quality and presentation standards.
- Special Diets and Allergies: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to our centre's dietary guidelines.
- Meal Planning and Execution: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by our dietitian or chef, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Kitchen Maintenance and Hygiene: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
