The Culinary Team Lead at the Fogo Island Inn will excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and enforcing menu standards to ensure consistently high guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the organization and setup of outside functions and catering events.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality and sanitation standards.
  • Set up stations for service and clean stations and kitchens following the end of service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchens and storage areas.
  • Other responsibilities as necessary to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements:

  • A sound understanding of the culinary arts and a passion for food.
  • Formal culinary training and extensive professional experience (5-10+ years required).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The ability to teach and motivate others.
  • The ability to adapt and react quickly to fluid situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
