Catering Manager

Aramark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering and conference event services at Memorial University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing catering solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and process incoming requests for catered services, utilizing our CaterTrax catering program
- Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and setup of events, crafted from Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer relationships
- Conduct campus outreach to various departments to market Aramark's catering services
- Attend community events or reach out to the community to market Aramark's catering services
- Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- Train and lead catering employees to ensure event standards are followed, ensuring quality in the final presentation
- Provide completed BEOs to the team and ensure quality assurance that all requests are met prior to the event
- Meet with the Executive Chef regarding special requests or large events
- Responsible for the execution of catering events of varied size and scope, including staffing and management
- Ensure accurate reporting of all catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables
- Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
- Oversee Bar Operations, including bar orders and weekly inventory
- Follow on-site allergen guidelines
- A valid Newfoundland driver's license is required for occasional use of a fleet vehicle
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in culinary, hospitality, or business is an asset
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in a management or supervisory role is preferred
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, and catering is required
- Previous experience in marketing or sales within the hospitality or retail sector is preferred
- Must be reliable with effective time-management skills to be able to work autonomously
- Available to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
