A career as an automation solutions developer at ATS Automation offers you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects with a focus on synchronous cammed equipment.

The primary role and responsibilities of this position involve developing and commissioning world-class automation systems based on B&R control platforms with some Allen Bradley wrappers. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop PLC and PC-based software programs specific to customer and project requirements.

  • Travel to customer and supplier sites for installation, commissioning, and training duties.
  • Select, test, and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, and lasers.
  • Work with other team members to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, enhancing safety, functionality, and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate with customers, project managers, designers, toolmakers, and electricians to solve problems and provide a complete, functional automation system.
  • Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify software program completeness.
  • Document each project accurately.
  • Offer technical advice to customers and provide training specific to their current project.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer engineering.
  • Strong programming, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation with hands-on experience desirable.
  • A self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Two+ years of experience programming in B&R Automation Studio strongly recommended; previous B&R Motion Simulation experience beneficial.

**Benefits:**

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including subsidized breakfast and lunch daily, free gourmet beverages, monthly massages, charitable event participation, social club activities, and more.
