Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Software Designer to join our dynamic team as a Master Automation Software Developer for Medical Devices. As a member of our team, you will design and develop world-class automation solutions for medical device manufacturers, utilizing leading-edge technologies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Software Programs: You will design and develop software programs (PLC and/or PC-based) specific to customer and project requirements, based on standard ATS programming methods.
- Debug and Commission Control Systems: You will debug and commission control systems at our facility, during the system integration stage, and then at the customer's site during installation.
- Travel and Training: You will travel as required to customer and supplier sites to perform installation, commissioning, and training duties.
- Select and Integrate Hardware and Software Components: You will select, test, and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, and lasers.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work with other members of the control systems design department and other groups to continuously improve methods of integrating controls technology, with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality, and reduced cost.
Requirements:
- Education: A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems, or computer engineering.
- Experience: Strong programming, mechanical, and electrical problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation with hands-on experience is desirable.
Benefits:
