Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team in Alberta, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under the supervision of pathologists.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires at least 5 years of experience in a related field. As a Medical Specialist, you will work closely with our pathology team to ensure high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with or performing autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under pathologists' supervision
  • Removing organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue as directed by the pathologist
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Specialty residency training in pathology
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
Work Environment

This position requires on-site work and cannot be performed remotely. You will be based in Alberta, Canada, and will need to relocate if selected for the role.
