Pathology Research Scientist

As a Pathology Research Scientist, you will contribute to groundbreaking studies in machine learning and AI applications in anatomic or general pathology.
The successful candidate will hold a joint academic position with the University of Calgary, offering 50% protected time for research and 50% time allocated to service activities aligned with pathology needs.
A competitive remuneration package, including relocation assistance, is available. Starting remuneration is commensurate with fellowship training and experience. The estimated salary range for this role is $364,597 to $424,123 per annum.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with esteemed researchers and clinicians, accessing cutting-edge equipment, core facilities, and a comprehensive start-up package.
To be considered, you must possess a MD, eligibility for licensure in Alberta, and certification in anatomic pathology or general pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent board.
An advanced graduate degree with basic/translational research training and demonstrated commitment to research or industry experience in areas related to pathogenesis and disease mechanisms are essential.
In addition to your exceptional technical skills, you will need to establish an independent or significant collaborative research program as demonstrated by a portfolio of scholarly work.
