Medical Specialist Pathologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Specialist Pathologist to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in assisting with and performing autopsies and surgical specimen examinations under the supervision of pathologists.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a Degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, or Optometry, as well as 5 years or more of experience in the field. They will be responsible for removing organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue as directed by the pathologist.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with or perform autopsies and surgical specimen examinations
- Remove organs and tissue specimens from bodies in the morgue
The ideal candidate will have completed specialty residency training and possess certification through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Examination.
