About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as an Administrative Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Provide recruitment support, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone screenings, and coordinating interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collecting documentation.
- Follow up on requirements to complete new hire and termination checklists.
- Maintain office supplies, track inventory, and place orders.
- Assist with coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events, and fundraising.
- Update Emergency Response evacuation lists, training, and orientation.
- Assist with maintenance of department documentation, including employee files, ensuring compliance with document control and retention policies.
- Contribute to development of monthly department meeting guidelines.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening.
- Ability to build relationships with and service internal customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently individually and in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
