About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Co-op Program Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide administrative support in day-to-day activities within the Human Resources Department, including recruitment support, onboarding coordination, and maintenance of office supplies.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone screenings, and coordinating interviews
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collecting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with new hire and termination checklists
  • Maintain office supplies by tracking inventory, placing orders, and organizing supplies
  • Support the coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events, and fundraising activities
  • Update Emergency Response evacuation lists, training, and orientation
  • Assist with the maintenance of department documentation, including employee files, to ensure compliance with document control and retention policies
  • Contribute to the development of the monthly department meeting guidelines
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the EHS Coordinator
  • Assist employees with general requests and questions
  • Maintain available tools for employee communications, including HRConnect, Bulletin Boards, MagnaNow TV, and MyLife
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written, or verbal, within the Human Resources Department
  • Follow Magna's Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies
  • Perform other duties as required
