Closures Technical Centre is focused on the design, development and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry. We are currently looking for a student in the Human Resources field for a co-op placement.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support in day-to-day activities within the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide quality customer service for all employees in accordance with the principles of the "Magna's Employee's Charter."
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collecting documentation.
  • Maintain office supplies by tracking inventory, placing orders and organizing supplies.
  • Assist with the coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events & fundraising.
  • Update Emergency Response evacuation lists, training & orientation.
  • Assist with the maintenance of department documentation, including employee files, ensuring compliance to document control & retention policies.
  • Contribute to the development of the monthly department meeting guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the EHS Coordinator.
  • Assist employees with general requests/questions.
  • Maintain available tools for employee communications.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department.
  • Follow Magna's Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, listening.
  • Ability to build relationships with & service the customer (internal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently individually, as well as in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working towards Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
