Closures Technical Centre is focused on the design, development and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry. We are currently looking for a student in the Human Resources field for a co-op placement.
Your Responsibilities- Provide administrative support in day-to-day activities within the Human Resources Department.
- Provide quality customer service for all employees in accordance with the principles of the "Magna's Employee's Charter."
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collecting documentation.
- Maintain office supplies by tracking inventory, placing orders and organizing supplies.
- Assist with the coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events & fundraising.
- Update Emergency Response evacuation lists, training & orientation.
- Assist with the maintenance of department documentation, including employee files, ensuring compliance to document control & retention policies.
- Contribute to the development of the monthly department meeting guidelines.
- Provide administrative support to the EHS Coordinator.
- Assist employees with general requests/questions.
- Maintain available tools for employee communications.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department.
- Follow Magna's Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communications skills: verbal, written, listening.
- Ability to build relationships with & service the customer (internal).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently individually, as well as in a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Working towards Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources Management.
