Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Leader

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power plant facilities.
Responsibilities- Assist the Chief Operating Engineer in coordinating power plant operations and maintenance activities to meet production requirements and division objectives.
- Implement a comprehensive preventive management system to ensure effective cost management and budget development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations.
- Assign and monitor maintenance projects, manage department work schedules, payroll, job administration, time off requests, and employee time & attendance.
- Deliver and manage budgets of CAPEX/OPEX projects and lead change initiatives to deliver business results while maintaining an engaged workforce and Union Leadership commitment.
- Preference given to 1st Class Power Engineers (with TSSA certificate) or 2nd Class Power Engineers (with certificate, some 1st class examination completed and all 1st class time – must possess 24 months experience as a Shift Engineer in a first-class plant).
- Five + years of related work experience in any industry.
- Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required.
- Awareness of relevant codes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to make things happen, customer focus, team building, and influencing and partnering.
- Project management relating to change and improvements in the Power Plant.
- Budgetary and fiscal knowledge and exposure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and both oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and various technology, including JD Edwards, Kronos, MS Office, Rockwell DCS Controls.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for up to 20% performance-based bonus, Group Benefits & Pension Plan, 20 days vacation (plus shutdown at Christmas), 4 wellness days, $900 product allotment, and up to $10K relocation assistance.
