Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Plant Operations Manager to join our team at Pernod Ricard España SA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating Power Plant Operations and Maintenance activities to meet production and plant operations requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Operating Engineer in administering programs involving electrical, mechanical, and repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment.
  • Implement a complete preventive management system to ensure effective cost management and budget development.
  • Assign and verify completion of routine maintenance and operation of all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Assist with the administration of inventory control programs and systems.
  • Implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and minimize the carbon footprint within the organization.
Quality and Safety
  • Create and maintain a proactive safety culture to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Support OHAS 18001 Safety Management Programs and ensure compliance with overall plant safety goals.
  • Develop and implement site-wide equipment standards for optimal efficiency and compliance.
Team Management
  • Coach employees by clarifying role requirements and discussing progress.
  • Manage department work schedules, payroll, job administration, time off requests, and employee time and attendance.
Project Management
  • Deliver and manage budgets of CAPEX/OPEX projects.
  • Lead change initiatives to deliver business results.

Competencies required for this role include a 1st class Power Engineer certificate from the TSSA, 5+ years of related work experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in the use of computer systems.

Software skills required include JD Edwards, Kronos, MS Office, and Rockwell DCS Controls. Ability to make things happen, customer focus, team building, and influencing are also essential.
