About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator Helper to join our team at CHAMELEON PAINTING LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced painters and decorators in delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Assist in preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes.
  • Painting and Decorating: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces under the supervision of experienced painters and decorators.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and cleaning equipment and tools used in the painting and decorating process.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the storage and disposal of materials and waste.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and work in various locations, including new construction sites.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliable, team player with initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
