Lead Hotel Operations in Toronto

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Director to lead our team at The Westin Harbour Castle Toronto. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Stay current with industry trends, monitor competition, and explore new business opportunities to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
  • Lead the Property Leadership Team: Hold team members accountable for strategy execution, guide their professional development, and foster a cohesive and high-performance team.
  • Sales and Marketing: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop revenue-generating strategies, identify new business leads, and leverage Marriott demand engines to full potential.
  • Talent Management and Organizational Capability: Create learning and development opportunities for employees, create and execute development plans, and ensure effective work processes, systems, and teamwork.
  • Business Information Analysis: Review and analyze business data to proactively address changing market conditions, ensure operating within budgetary guidelines, and achieve profit margin goals.
  • Employee and Labor Relations: Verify fair treatment of employees, build rapport through open communication, and celebrate employee successes.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in management operations, sales, marketing, finance, or related professional area.
  • Preferred Experience: General Manager experience in limited or full-service properties, ability to work flexible hours, and progressive career growth with exceptional performance.
