At Hotel X Toronto, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of maintenance professionals and take ownership of ensuring that our hotel's facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all maintenance activities, as well as implementing safety protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and control construction projects
- Plan and organize construction projects
- Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility
- Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
- Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
- Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
- Use sales forecasting software
- Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
- Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs
- Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
- Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
- Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems
- Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff
- Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of real estate infrastructures including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems
- Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal
- Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
- Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
