Job Title: IT Helpdesk Specialist

Cineplex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues across all Cineplex LOBs, utilizing our Helpdesk application to triage and manage all inbound incidents.
  • Proactively monitor and support components of the Cineplex Systems Infrastructure.
  • Participate in and provide ideas for the department's continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Aid in resolving Helpdesk issues and document solutions as needed, in Helpdesk support articles for the company Knowledgebase.
  • Participate in any projects and duties as assigned by IT Management.
Requirements:
  • A degree in a relevant area of study, such as Computer Science or Information Technology, with a preference for demonstrated operational systems and network-related experience.
  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, MCITP, and/or A+ certification are considered strong assets.
  • ITIL V3 Certificate in IT Service Management.
Experience:
  • Experience with MS Vista POS Software or general retail POS systems would be a significant asset.
  • 1-3 years of IT-related, Help Desk Support.
  • Customer service experience demonstrating application functionality.
  • Demonstrated work experience in a Desktop Support capacity is expected.
  • Strong experience with MS Office support is expected.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac OS is expected.
  • Experience with Ubuntu Linux.
