About the Role

PME Inc., a self-performing, heavy civil contractor, is seeking an Intermediate Underground Estimator to join their team. As a key member of the estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for underground utility installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze contract documents to prepare cost estimates for underground utility installation projects.
  • Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and organize subcontractor quotes.
  • Develop schedules and determine production rates.
  • Contact subcontractors and vendors for external pricing.
  • Monitor project success and identify potential risks.
  • Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits.
  • Work with proposal and operations teams to develop execution methodologies and safety plans.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of estimating experience.
  • 1+ years of water and sewer construction experience is an asset.
  • Project management and field experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with B2W suite and asset.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and reliable with a positive disposition.
  • Good communicator with attention to detail and documentation skills.
