Administrative Support Specialist for Education Board

About the Role

The Education Board for BC seeks an administrative professional to provide support to the Board on an ongoing basis. Reporting to BC's Chairman and Honorary Secretary, the successful candidate will be responsible for documenting minutes in regular cadence meetings, organizing and scheduling meetings, and supporting the Council Secretariat in distributing required materials.

About You

  • Relevant administrative experience and/or willingness to learn administrative skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Experience in using MS Teams
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Document minutes in regular cadence meetings
  • Organize and schedule meetings, including booking meeting spaces as required
  • Support in organizing various logistical requirements for meetings and sessions
  • Work closely with the Council Secretariat to ensure required materials are properly distributed when required
  • Maintain and update various contact lists
  • Support the Honorary Secretary and Project Manager on preparation for Full Session Meetings (FSMs)
  • Other administrative tasks as required
