Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced educational administrator to join our team at the York Region District School Board. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for education.

About the Role

This Vice Principal/Teacher will be responsible for leading a team of educators and supporting student achievement in a designated school within the York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will hold a BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional leadership and support to teachers to improve student learning outcomes
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Collaborate with other school administrators and staff to achieve board-wide goals and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

A master's degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum, preferably from a Canadian universityAt least 5 years of experience as a teacher or in a related fieldExcellent leadership and communication skillsA proven track record of improving student achievement and school culture

Salary

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
