A highly skilled Director, Conflict Management Office position is available at the University of Waterloo. This role involves leading the development, management, and assessment of the Conflict Management Office and its programs.
About the Role:
This key leadership position requires strategic vision and expertise in conflict resolution, employee relations, and human rights law. As a respected leader, you will provide guidance to senior leaders, negotiate complex matters, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Conflict Management Office to promote effective dispute resolution and employee well-being.
• Provide expert advice on conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential conflicts before they escalate.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge of conflict resolution and human rights principles.
Requirements:
• Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Psychology, Sociology) or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of managing complex disputes and developing innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of human rights law and employment standards.
What We Offer:
