Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Canada Cartage is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for ensuring Canada Cartage is the top talent destination in the transportation and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full-cycle recruitment of drivers, mechanics, and office staff across Western Canada
  • Collaborating with Recruitment Marketing on employer brand management and developing innovative ideas to attract top talent
  • Working with other teams to develop programs to attract and train qualified drivers
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with client groups to meet their hiring needs
  • Accountable for measuring results and meeting objectives, including time-to-fill, quality candidates, and turnover metrics
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, specifically in the transportation industry
  • Experience managing high-volume, full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Knowledge of transportation industry trends, labor market conditions, and specific role requirements
  • Sourcing skills, proficiency in conducting interviews, assessing qualifications, and familiarity with background check software and other employment verification tools
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and strong communication skills
  • Strong networking abilities to build a pipeline of candidates and ability to quickly adapt to changing hiring needs and industry demands
