Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Canada Cartage is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for ensuring Canada Cartage is the #1 talent destination in Transportation/Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full-cycle recruitment of drivers, mechanics, and office staff across Western Canada
  • Collaborating with Recruitment Marketing on employer brand management and out-of-the-box ideas that speak to the authenticity and culture of Canada Cartage
  • Working with other teams within Canada Cartage to develop programs to attract and train qualified drivers
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with client groups to meet their hiring needs
  • Accountable for measuring results and meeting objectives including: time-to-fill, quality candidates (road test success rate, quality of hire metric, turnover metrics)
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, specifically in the transportation industry
  • Experience managing high-volume, full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Along with the following Skills & Competencies:
    • Knowledge of transportation industry trends, labor market conditions, and specific role requirements
    • Sourcing Skills
    • Proficiency in conducting interviews, assessing qualifications
    • Familiarity with background check software and other employment verification tools
    • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbally)
    • Strong networking abilities to build a pipeline of candidates
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing hiring needs and industry demands
    • Problem-solving skills
    • A high sense of urgency and accountability
