About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our Specialized Products Division, driving growth and innovation in the light construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual business plans and budgets, aligning with company strategic objectives.
  • Establish and implement cost and pricing models, as well as effective capital plans.
  • Evaluate and develop marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Lead production management and inventory control processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs across all business processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards, exploring new products and technologies to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with company support groups and other divisional leaders to achieve company objectives.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to hire, develop, and retain top talent.
Requirements
  • University degree in Commerce, Business, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, with a strong track record of managing businesses or divisions.
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing to other businesses (B2B).
  • Expert knowledge of continuous improvement and a personal commitment to driving business growth.
  • Strong management skills, including decision-making, negotiation, project management, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of the Provincial Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulation.
  • Experience in the lumber and building supplies industry is a strong asset.
