About the Role

The Manager, Category Leadership is a critical role within Nestlé Canada's commercial team. This role requires a deep understanding of the company's strategic category growth opportunities and the ability to develop and execute plans to drive growth.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and executing Customer/Category Business Plans that are aligned to Nestlé's strategic category growth opportunities.
  • Providing project management leadership for these category growth projects.
  • Driving the customer and portfolio segmentation process internally.
  • Providing insights to support long-term and annual business planning to drive customer centricity.
  • Leading the annual Integrated Commercial Planning process.
  • Building capabilities in category leadership across commercial teams.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive sales or marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate and collaborate across commercial teams.
  • Understanding of all sales functions (Category & Shopper Development, Customer, Retail Sales).
  • Demonstrated understanding of Shopper Data and Analytics (Shopper Intelligence, Numerator and Nielsen).
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and strong leadership skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Power BI is an asset.
  • Experience with Retailer POS & Loyalty platforms considered an asset.
