Job Summary

CT GROUP ENTERPRISES INC. is seeking a highly skilled Department Store Supervisor to lead our team of sales associates and ensure exceptional customer service. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning duties, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales associates, including assigning duties and tasks.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Monitor customer feedback and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the department store, including inventory management, merchandise ordering, and payment processing.
    • Authorize payments, returns, and exchanges, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Performance Management
    • Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Work Environment
    • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions

The Department Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity are essential for this role.

Language

The primary language spoken in this role is English.

Work Schedule

The Department Store Supervisor will work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
