Faculty Member, Educational Foundations

About the Position:

The Department of Educational Foundations at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in formal or community education settings, employing experiential pedagogies and a social justice stance built on anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices and Indigenous relationships to the land.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in place-based, Indigenous land-based, and climate justice education
  • Conduct research, scholarly, and/or artistic work
  • Contribute to collegial processes in the College of Education and the University of Saskatchewan
  • Engage in community outreach and partnerships

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in an appropriate specialization
  • Ability to work across disciplines
  • Education and research relating to place-based and climate justice education
  • Community engagement experience
  • Preference given to Indigenous candidates

  • Salary bands: Assistant Professor ($99,945 to $120,099), Associate Professor ($120,099 to $140,253)
