Job Opportunity: Tenure-Track Position in Place-Based, Indigenous Land-Based, and Climate Justice Education

About the Position:

The Department of Educational Foundations at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in formal or community education settings, employing experiential pedagogies. A social justice stance built on anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices and Indigenous relationships to the land is core to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in place-based, Indigenous land-based, and climate justice education
  • Conduct research, scholarly, and/or artistic work
  • Contribute to collegial processes in the College of Education and the University of Saskatchewan

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in an appropriate specialization
  • Experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities
  • Education and research relating to place-based and climate justice education
