About the Role:

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As an 'Outstanding' CQC-rated care provider, we offer a unique opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, enabling them to live safe and fulfilled lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients with learning disabilities and/or autism in their daily lives, promoting independence and personal growth.
  • Working collaboratively with our clinical team and care coordinators to provide 24/7 support and care.
  • Participating in initial shadow shifts to familiarize yourself with the client and environment.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Passionate, resilient, and highly skilled in providing person-centered care.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Knowledge of restraint training and physical intervention techniques.
