Job Title: Healthcare Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including data entry, filing, and record maintenance
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Assist with operational functions, including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and processing requisitions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including scanning and data entry
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and problem-solving

Requirements:

  • High school graduation diploma plus one year of post-secondary education in a related field, such as office administration or healthcare administration
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in a customer service or administrative role in the healthcare or social services sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including email and the internet
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and discretion
