Family Practitioner Opportunity in Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Team
BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS) is seeking a Family Practitioner to join the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team. This team provides holistic and comprehensive services to clients with enhanced care needs who are involved in the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care for clients and help them live an active life as they reintegrate into the community.
- Work alongside other healthcare experts on a supportive and inter-professional team.
- Grow your expertise as a Primary Care Practitioner in an environment where you are supported from day one.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for provisional or full licensure with CPSBC.
- Certification with the College of Family Physicians, or equivalent.
- Experience in working with patients across a broad spectrum of psychiatric illness, substance use disorders, and personality difficulties.
About BCMHSUS:
BCMHSUS is mandated to improve the quality and continuity of care for clients across the province during their time in correctional facilities and as they reintegrate into the community. We provide trauma-informed care to clients with physical or mental health needs and/or concurrent psychiatric and/or substance abuse/misuse disorders.
