Job Title: Family Practitioner - Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Specialist

Location: Surrey, BC

Job Type: Regular, Part Time

Employer: BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS)

Description:

We are seeking a Family Practitioner to join our Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team. The FACT team provides holistic and comprehensive services to clients with enhanced care needs who are involved in the criminal justice system. As a Family Practitioner on this team, you will work alongside other healthcare professionals to provide quality care for clients and help them live an active life as they reintegrate into the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality care for clients with complex psychiatric needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement client care plans
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure client needs are being met
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for provisional or full licensure with CPSBC
  • Certification with the College of Family Physicians, or equivalent
  • Experience working with clients with complex psychiatric needs
