Job Summary:
Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food quality and service to our employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for the buffet, a la carte menu, cafeteria, and catering events.
- Collaborate with other chefs to ensure all food items are prepared to the highest standards.
- Control food waste and spoilage, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Inspect work areas daily and report any hazards or defective equipment to the management team.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform other duties as required by the management team.
Requirements:
- Formal culinary training with 4-5 years of progressive culinary experience in a large kitchen.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- WHMIS certification.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management.
Working Conditions:
The hours of work will be based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule and be ready to embark on their next adventure.
