Strategic Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to join our team as a Strategic Development Manager - North America. This role will play a crucial part in building and sustaining relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders, launching fundraising initiatives, and securing sustainable funding to support Team Rubicon Canada's mission.

About the RoleThis full-time position reports to the VP, Development and Communications and requires a strategic mindset and proven leadership abilities. You will lead the planning and execution of corporate partnerships, fundraising campaigns, events, grants, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of Team Rubicon Canada's work. A key aspect of this role is cultivating and stewarding relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government agencies to secure financial support for Team Rubicon Canada's programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Team Rubicon Canada's mission, vision, culture, and priorities.
- Establish and achieve annual fundraising targets and KPIs that align with Team Rubicon Canada's strategic goals.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government agencies to secure financial support for Team Rubicon Canada's programs and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, track progress against goals, and generate reports for stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align development strategies with organizational objectives.
- Bachelor's degree (in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field), advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or philanthropy roles.
- Proven track record of leading comprehensive development strategy development and execution.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Professional experience with CRM and Asana Project Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year
