Job Summary
The Clinical Dietitian plays a key role in our Health Care Team, providing professional expertise to maintain and facilitate client well-being. They function as a teacher for new diabetics and follow patients as required, serving as a resource to the Health Care Team and Community to promote nutritional knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nutrition advice to clients and patients
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct group education sessions on various topics, including diabetes management and healthy eating
- Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- CDE certification is an asset
- Clinical experience in a hospital outpatient setting
- Clinical teaching experience is required
- Experience with insulin pumps is an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
