About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality improvement team, you will work collaboratively with leaders and teams across the organization to support and improve patient safety through guidance, support, subject matter expertise, and education.
Main Responsibilities- Analyze current and future workflows to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Design, develop, test, and implement change ideas in alignment with organizational priorities;
- Collaborate with clinical programs to implement recommendations that improve patient and staff safety;
- Support and facilitate ongoing readiness and preparedness for Accreditation;
- Offer training and build capacity for physicians and clinical staff to enhance their understanding of Quality Improvement initiatives;
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in healthcare;
- Expertise in Quality Improvement and/or Patient Safety;
- Working knowledge of Quality Improvement methodologies, including the use of QI tools;
- Data measurement and analysis pertaining to quality and patient safety;
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills;
- Strong interpersonal, investigative, teaching, and facilitation skills;
- Superior communication skills, demonstrated in verbal, written, and presentation capacity;
- A leader who can establish credibility with all levels of the organization;
- Very strong attention to detail and process orientation;
- High level of integrity, trust, and creditability;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams;
- Excellent proficiency in Visio, MS Office: Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint;
- Knowledge of incident management reporting systems (rL Datix) is an asset;
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan.
