Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian plays a vital role in maintaining and facilitating client well-being as a member of the Health Care Team. This position involves providing professional expertise to promote nutritional knowledge and act as a resource to the team and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nutritional guidance to clients and healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans
  • Conduct group education sessions using various learning techniques
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • CDE certification an asset
  • Clinical experience in a hospital outpatient setting
  • Clinical teaching experience required
  • Experience with insulin pumps an asset
  • Experience with behaviour change strategies
  • Experience with individual counselling
  • Experience with group education sessions
  • Courses in adult education and self-management an asset
  • Experience in clinical research is an asset
  • Ability to travel to outreach clinics
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team
  • Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion
