Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Calgary, Toronto & Vancouver. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees and trade partners on site.

About the Role:
  • Lead the development and implementation of health and safety programs across projects;
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to promote a culture of health and safety excellence;
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions;
  • Investigate incidents and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence;
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety statistics and metrics;
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Provide training and coaching to project teams on health and safety best practices;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in health and safety management.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience in the construction industry and health and safety management;
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Risk Management;
  • NCSO designation an asset;
  • Experience with Certificate of Recognition (COR) and Safety Group (IHSA);
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
