We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team at the Vancouver Airport Authority.

Job Summary
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive health and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone at YVR. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with a minimum of five years of recent related progressive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing proactive health and safety programs to prevent injuries and illnesses;
- Conducting inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to identify areas for improvement;
- Administering and delivering safety training to staff, including supervisor safety leadership training and new employee orientations;
- Managing multiple priorities, including conducting environmental quality assessments and liaising with tenants and airlines on environmental issues;
- Developing and sustaining cooperative working relationships with staff, stakeholders, and partners;
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to health and safety performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field;
- Minimum five years of recent related progressive experience;
- Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation an asset;
- Demonstrated experience in executing and operating successful health and safety programs and management systems;
- Thorough knowledge of federal and provincial regulations governing occupational health and safety;
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $86,640 to $124,545 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week, as well as an annual bonus target of 7.5% of your annual salary.
