Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Trotman Auto Group. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our employees and management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with onboarding, compensation administration, employee relations, performance management, and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide assistance to managers and employees to ensure timely and accurate completion of all documents.
  • Manage the creation, review, and maintenance of employment documentation.
  • Implement and maintain HR best practices throughout the group.
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
  • Assist in the onboarding process, including facilitating orientation sessions.
  • Collaborate with management to address HR-related issues and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Identify opportunities to further develop and expand HR initiatives, processes, and programs.
  • Update HR policies and procedures.
  • Research and analysis of competitive compensation practices.
  • Support ongoing HR projects.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of HR Administrator role or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable employment and human rights legislation, as well as Human Resources best practices.
  • Proven people influencing and leadership ability.
  • Experience working within tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume retail operation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various HRIS software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
