Job Summary

BD Diesel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our employees and management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, references, and selecting candidates to meet organizational needs.
  • Onboarding and Employee Engagement: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company.
  • HRIS Management: Manage and maintain the Human Resource Information System (ADP WorkforceNow), ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records in conjunction with the payroll department.
  • Employee Relations and Support: Address and resolve employee inquiries and issues, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining employee satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR practices comply with federal and provincial regulations, including labor laws and company policies.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Employee Termination and Exit Interviews: Process employee terminations and exit interviews, ensuring employees are offboarded respectfully and information received to help improve the process.
  • Payroll Support: Provide support and coverage for payroll processing during vacation periods, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a proven track record in recruitment, employee relations, and policy administration.
  • Certifications: CPHR designation (or working towards) or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in HRIS administration and Microsoft Office Suite.
