Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to join our team at FFLECS Restaurant Management Inc. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
  • Operations Evaluation: Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Menu Planning: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
  • Labour Cost Management: Monitor revenues to determine labour costs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Staff Management: Plan and organize daily operations, recruit staff, set staff work schedules, supervise staff, train staff, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, address customer complaints or concerns, and ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Physical Accessibility: Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour work week. The work language is English.
