About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Elm Hurst Inn & Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our busy kitchen.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have everything we need to deliver exceptional service.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
