Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned healthcare executive to join our leadership team as Vice President, Clinical, Emergency, Renal, Medicine, and Strategic Partnerships. This pivotal role requires an experienced leader who can drive clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, and strategic partnerships to advance Unity Health Toronto's vision of providing exceptional patient experiences.

Our three hospitals - Providence Healthcare, St. Joseph's Health Centre, and St. Michael's Hospital - provide a wide range of clinical services, from primary care to quaternary care, while investing in world-class research and education.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide executive and operational leadership for General Medicine, Emergency Care, Kidney and Metabolism, Primary and Community Care programs.
  • Drive excellence in clinical care, quality improvement, and person-centered care across these programs.
  • Ensure network plans, priorities, and initiatives are supported, implemented, and sustained within these programs.
  • Contribute to an environment that fosters innovation, change, and accountability within program management teams.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to foster engagement and wellness of staff, physicians, researchers, learners, volunteers, and other hospital stakeholders.


Requirements


  • Post-graduate degree in nursing or other healthcare discipline, health policy, or business/health/public administration.
  • Progressive experience in leadership of hospital clinical programs, long-term care, rehabilitation, and complex care.
  • Thorough understanding and appreciation of the complexities and stakeholder dynamics of community and acute care in academic health centers.
  • Intellectual and analytic ability to deal with complex strategic and operational issues.
  • Strong business skills and excellent communications and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change in a complex environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the Ontario health reform agenda and the continuum of healthcare services.


Salary Range

$180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.
