Senior Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated Senior Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Chick-fil-A of Wharncliffe & Wonderland. As a key member of our restaurant, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will possess a strong background in health and safety management, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related role. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is also required.
In this critical position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislations, regulations, and industry standards. This includes promoting a culture of safety awareness, creating and maintaining safety policies and procedures, and conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislations, regulations, and industry standards;
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and encourage employees to report any safety concerns;
- Create and maintain safety policies and procedures to minimize health and safety incidents and hazards;
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify, assess, and address potential risks;
- Maintain open communication with management, employees, and external safety partners and organizations;
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices;
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field;
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related health and safety management role;
- Strong knowledge of local and federal safety regulations and standards, including practical implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations and standards;
- Proficient in MS Office, project, and safety management software;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly identify and address safety concerns;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Passionate about promoting a culture of safety and employee well-being;
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year;
