Job Summary:

As an Orthopedic Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients with complex orthopedic needs. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
  • Minimum one year of acute surgical or orthopedic nursing experience, preferably with orthopedic trauma experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing situations
  • A strong commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and continuous learning
