Job Title: Mental Health Nursing Specialist

Overview of the Position:

The Mental Health Nursing Specialist will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. This includes independent nursing services, administration of interventions and treatments, leadership within the healthcare team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Registered Psychiatric Nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration with the CRPNM or CRNM.
  • 2+ years of experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Salary:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
