About the Role

The Junior Art Director will play a key role in supporting and creating work across digital, social, traditional, and experiential channels, finding innovative solutions that exceed client expectations. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic and conceptual thinking, bringing a high level of craft to their work, and collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior creative teams to execute creative concepts and develop project strategies.
  • Collaborate with other members of the creative team to brainstorm ideas and develop relevant project strategies.
  • Participate in team brainstorm sessions to discuss assignment parameters and ensure a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Develop a range of ideas and designs to solve client marketing problems and produce effective and compelling design for all elements of the creative solution.
  • Prepare design solutions for internal and external presentations and act as a point of contact for Account Management and Project Management teams.
  • Participate in the production process to ensure the integrity of the final product and help develop tools and recommendations to improve current processes.
  • Coordinate design efforts with experienced planners to understand user needs and design a solution that meets those needs.
  • Work with production to ensure the integrity of files and regularly attend client-planning meetings.
  • Understand client brand and business objectives and translate them into a compelling concept.
  • Consistently develop knowledge and understanding of client business, leading to the development of a broader range of solutions to client problems.
  • Work enthusiastically with other client team members in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a willingness to learn and creatively solve problems with a positive, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

  • Professional knowledge of graphic art or related field required, normally acquired through completion of an accredited program offered at a college or university.
  • Experience coming up with creative 360-degree advertising campaign ideas, seeing them through from the concepting stage all the way through post-production.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience with a strong and diverse portfolio of advertising campaigns, background in an agency environment or in-house marketing department preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of software packages including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate creative approach and seek unexpected, original, and innovative ideas.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment.
